Your Invitation

Here are the simple steps to committing your life to Christ, based on specific verses in the Bible.

Your Invitation

Know that God loves you

For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. — John 3:16

Recognize that you’re lost on your own

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. — Romans 3:23

As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one.”  — Romans 3:10

Acknowledge God’s solution for the problem

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. — Romans 6:23

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. — John 1:12

I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. — 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Accept His gift to you by responding to Him

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. — 1 John 1:9

For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  — Romans 10:13

Make a sincere commitment to God

with a prayer that's something like this:

“God, I confess to You that I am a sinner, and that I need Your help to turn away from my old life. I cannot do it on my own. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins on the cross and was raised from the dead so that I would be made right before God. Here and now I am repenting of my sins, and laying them before you to wash away. I am receiving and declaring Christ as my Saviour and Lord, and I want to live for Him. I want this day to be a brand new beginning for my life.”

Assurance as a Believer

Once you have made that commitment and accepted Christ’s forgiveness, you can be assured that your future has been rewritten.

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. — Romans 10:9

“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life. — John 5:24

But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name. — John 20:31
