Reading God’s Word has brought you to a profound moment in your life. We invite you to start fresh and commit to follow Christ.
Here are the simple steps you need to take:
Know that God loves you
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. — John 3:16
Recognize that you’re lost on your own
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. — Romans 3:23
As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one.” — Romans 3:10
Acknowledge God’s solution for the problem
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. — Romans 6:23
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God… — John 1:12
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures… — 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Accept His gift to you by responding to Him
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. — 1 John 1:9
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. — Romans 10:13
Make a sincere commitment to God by praying something like this:
“God, I confess to You that I am a sinner, and that I need Your help to turn away from my old life. I cannot do it on my own. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins on the cross and was raised from the dead so that I would be made right before God. Here and now I am repenting of my sins, and laying them before you to wash away. I want to receive and declare Christ as my Saviour and Lord, and I want to live for Him. I want this day to be a brand new beginning for my life.”
Assurance as a Believer
Once you have made that commitment and accepted Christ’s forgiveness, you can be assured that your future has been rewritten.
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. — Romans 10:9
I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. — John 5:24
But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. — John 20:31
